1. I have archived much of my life through collected objects.
2. I have moved a smaller studio, making it necessary that I get rid of a lot of these objects.
3. I have done so by using them as the raw material for one enormous collage, created inside a 30-yard dumpster.
4. Oh, also, I have photographed around 500 of these objects and will display them here, accompanied by a brief history of each item.

GIANT MALTED WAFFLE

10.8 x 5 cm
I grew up moving around a lot, but by the time I was 10, we ended up in Bethesda, Maryland. Tastee Diner was a mainstay of Bethesda. They served scrapple. Also on the menu was the GIANT MALTED WAFFLE.
I think what made me find this entree so humorous was the 'giant' part; like, for $3.25, you could purchase an item that you could either eat or don for warmth.

  1. Yes yes yes! Tastees. I miss it often, and then I don't miss it. But then, I miss it again. In a way, I met my first girlfriend there. Old Bethesda, or B-town...I miss Sunshine House too. Mac, I'm so glad you're doing this. And I still love scrapple, although my heart wishes I didn't. Oh well. Carry on, noble watchman. - M. Rizzo
