1. I have archived much of my life through collected objects.
2. I have moved a smaller studio, making it necessary that I get rid of a lot of these objects.
3. I have done so by using them as the raw material for one enormous collage, created inside a 30-yard dumpster.
4. Oh, also, I have photographed around 500 of these objects and will display them here, accompanied by a brief history of each item.

THE DUMPSTER IN PROGRESS

I figured I was rather overdue in presenting some work-in-progress shots of the actual dumpster. Things are moving along well, looking good for the September 23rd premier at the DUMBO Arts Festival.
So, here is the Dumpster from the outside...
Here is the Dumpster from the inside...

Here is a detail of some of the collage stuffs going on inside...

And here is some of the flying karate chop, a regular occurrence.

  4. MICHAEL! Hello my Spartan comrade, nourisher and artist. Actually, I never studied karate. I just kind of ran and jumped as high as I could.
Having said that, I am honored to be considered as a possible attribute to the 300. Thank you for the compliment, fyle mou.

  5. I feel slightly humble....

Infact, if you fashion some sort of pitched roof I'll move in.

    1. Thanks for the kind words, Paul.
I used tongue and groove flooring, mainly walnut and oak. Then I ran out and improvised. Pretty much just used anything that was 3/4" thick.
