1. I have archived much of my life through collected objects.
2. I have moved a smaller studio, making it necessary that I get rid of a lot of these objects.
3. I have done so by using them as the raw material for one enormous collage, created inside a 30-yard dumpster.
4. Oh, also, I have photographed around 500 of these objects and will display them here, accompanied by a brief history of each item.

8.9% THERE

Hello. Thanks very much to the folks who have contributed thus far, I have achieved 8.9% of my targeted internet fundraising goal. There are big plans for The Dumpster Project: interactive site, documentary, maybe even a sponsored vodka. But in the meantime, I am hoping to raise 10k to get this project off the ground. All contributions are tax deductible, and think about it this way: if 190 people gave $25, and then one person gave $3909, I'd have $49 over my goal. That's almost fifty bucks.

    Your blog has been my favorite thing on the internet for a few weeks now. I really hope you get the funding you need to make it happen. Next time I have some spare money* I'm sending it to your dumpster.
