1. I have archived much of my life through collected objects.
2. I have moved a smaller studio, making it necessary that I get rid of a lot of these objects.
3. I have done so by using them as the raw material for one enormous collage, created inside a 30-yard dumpster.
4. Oh, also, I have photographed around 500 of these objects and will display them here, accompanied by a brief history of each item.

FRANK ROBINSON BASEBALL CARD

8.9 x 6.5 cm
When was the last time you saw a baseball card laid out in landscape? It looks like a movie still embellished by the kind of awesome graphics that have since been traded in for high-production-cost-low-mental-input-flashy-jazz-hands-horsecrap.

  1. I remember that one. That was pretty much the only landscape one Topps made that year (or any year) so it really stood out.

And that was the only year during my youth that Topps used an icon for each position. If I recall correctly, each position had a different color circle.
